Canada’s Unofficial Holidays

April 10th, 2008 · No Comments

One of the things that struck me about living in the US was how much things slow down between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was not cognizant of that behavior previously, believing in the the American Worker Bee legend.

Just FYI, Canada has a similar, unofficial period of slackerdom from early April to some indeterminate date in May. The schedule can be found here. People go to work as usual, just often not a lot gets done, what with hangovers, late events, etc. Just so you know. Go Habs!
